Yes. The free version is a complete backgammon game against the AI. Backgammon Pro is an optional one-time $2.99 upgrade — never a subscription.
What does Backgammon Pro include?
Pro removes all ads and unlocks the expert AI, all premium and 3D board themes, two-player and local Wi-Fi multiplayer, the Game Center leaderboard, unlimited daily games, and saved replays.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Solo play against the AI works entirely offline. Only local Wi-Fi multiplayer and the Game Center leaderboard need a connection.
How does multiplayer work?
Two ways: pass-and-play on a single device, or local Wi-Fi matches between two nearby devices. Moves travel directly between the devices — never through a remote server.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Install the app on your new device, open Settings inside the game, and tap Restore Purchases. Apple verifies the purchase with your Apple ID at no extra cost.
What data does the app collect?
